Bridgeport Public Library Interlibrary Loan Guidelines

(as of September 15, 2004)

  1. A patron requesting an interlibrary loan must have a valid library card from the Bridgeport Public Library.
  2. The requesting patron must supply their name, library card number and phone number (or other means of contact).
  3. The requesting patron will be responsible for any charges imposed by the lending library. The patron may specify a maximum dollar amount for the charges that should not be exceeded.
  4. The Bridgeport Public Library will notify the patron by phone (or postcard if not reachable by phone) when the item is received. The item must be picked up within one week of notification. There is a $5 charge for each item not picked up.
  5. The Bridgeport Public Library imposes the same overdue fines for materials borrowed from other libraries as it does for materials from its' own collection.
  6. A patron may borrow (or have requested to borrow) up to 5 items at any given time. Please telephone (203) 576-7034 if there are any questions.
