The Friends of the Bridgeport Public Library, Inc. founded in 2002, is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization charged with advocacy, fundraising, and programming initiatives to help make our libraries thriving community centers of discovery and lifelong learning. Contributions to the Friends provide the Library purchasing power beyond its municipal allocations. Funds have sponsored a wide range of free Library programs and services that have a positive impact on community members across Bridgeport.
