V.I.P. Very Important Performers

The Bridgeport Public Library is partnering with the Board of Education to give Very Important Performers a chance to share their musical talents at the Burroughs & Saden Branch this Friday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. Enthusiasm for the Arts and Sciences have given school musicians the opportunity to be escorted by limousine, courtesy of New England Limousine of Fairfield, to the downtown library building where they will perform in the main lobby.
Organized by Bridgeport Public Library Community Relations Librarian, Michael Bielawa, and Tanya Kelley, from the Bridgeport Board of Education, this exciting new program highlights the talents and dedication of our community’s young people and will allow students to perform, demonstrate and lecture at the various branches of the Bridgeport Public Library. Ethan Book, Jr. of New England Limousine Service has happily agreed to provide the transportation.
As a librarian “How fortuitous to be working with such a fine limousine company where the owner’s name is Mr. Book. New England Limousine has been very generous in providing this service that allows our young people to have this wonderful experience.” Mr. Bielawa goes on to further note “This program will highlight our city’s wonderful students and public schools, help expose students to performing in public, as well as share beautiful music, dance and scholarly lectures with library patrons. This school-library partnership illustrates that Bridgeport appreciates the Arts and that hard work is rewarded in our Society”
The program will include all Bridgeport schools and Bridgeport Library branches over the next coming months. The Bridgeport Public Library, Burroughs and Saden Memorial Public Library is located at 925 Broad Street. For more information about this unique musical partnership please contact Community Relations Librarian, Michael Bielawa at 203 576-7413.
